The primary role of the Graphic Design Intern position is to assist the Student Life Marketing team (reporting to the lead graphic designer) in performing daily tasks to market for Student Life. The goal of this position is to give students valuable real-world experience in a marketing environment, leveraging print and digital media. I also had to be knowledgeable in a Mac environment, with proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and AfterEffects. Knowledge of social media marketing came with the role.
